The Jenö Takács Foundation


Following the will of Jenö and Éva Takács, Steven D. Pasteiner, the cousin and heir of Éva Takács in December 2008 formed the Takács Jenö alapitvány (Jeno Takács Foundation) based in Sopron (Hungary). The foundation's aims are among others to maintain the memory of Jeno Takács and his music, to support and promote artistic and scienftific work connected with Takács, to initiate commissions and place special prizes there, to take part in commemorative exhibitions as well as to take care of the family grave in Siegendorf. On proposal of the founder the Viennese musicologist Christian Heindl was appointed first president, secretary is Mrs. Katalin Főző.
